RIDE 150th Issue!

Last nite the guys over at RIDE had a nice get together for there 150th issue of RIDE.

Me,Trevor and Sho headed out after work to check out the action. They had a nice box jump, a vert wall made out of past covers, a bunny hop contest, and they open the gates to the mini ramp they have in the back.

I got to hang out and see alot of guys that i haven't seen in a looonngg time. It was a good time. If you don't have one already, get out there and pick up a copy of the 150th issue. Rob Wise has a interview that was the talk of the party. I don't want to ruin it for you, but i will say one thing.....think bank-to-rail..ok? Over ice-to-back over fakie bar!

The "Boss Man" has been crackin the whip around here lately. It's that time of the year (Interbike) again, and the stress meter is at Defcon 5. With a million things going on around here, Brian somehow has been able to put together the Gypsy 09 zine. Everyone has given it a good look thru and its ready to print! With some of the best photos i've seen in a while and great product shots. Your in for a treat.

I know I've been "MIA" for a while...But I'm pumped to be on board the Sales Team here at Volume/Demolition. I got a good thing going here and it feels GREAT to be back on the bike too! I want to say thanks to everyone here for there support and to my boy Kevin Clark for keeping me in the loop.

Greg Sumida came in for the weekend to do some riding and log some pictures for the up and comming Gypsy '09 cataloge. Rumor has it that it will be bigger and better than ever this year. Keep an eye out for it dropping within the next few months. Anyway, here are a couple of pictures (taken with Greg's digi cam) from a session at the Santa Ana Civic center on Sunday.

This was given to me by one of the kids who lives in my neighborhood. He swore that Eddie Fiola's aunt lives a few houses down from his. I didn't think much of it until he brought over a signed photo that Eddie's aunt had given him. I guess its a pretty small world even in southern California. (Note: kids, don't be fooled by the black and white...they did have color photographs back in the 80's).

Today I was looking for some tape and opened up Ed's desk Drawer and was blown away when i saw this toy in his desk next to some candy. Chinchilla man has some explaining to do when he gets into the office!

Almost a gas leak?

So, upon unlocking and opening the door to the office yesterday morning I was greeted by a face full of noxious smelling fumes. None of the other guys wanted to go into the building because it smelled like it was some sort of gas leak mixed with burnt hair. Robert decided to call the Fire Department to have them investigate. It seems that the real reason he wanted us to call was so he could ride on the side of the truck...

Anyhow, the Fire Dept. (with the help of Castillo himself) couldn't figure out the source of the smell and told us to just air out the building. I think the firemen were a little bummed out that we called them because something stunk. Oh well, smells fine now, we still have no clue what it was. Do you?

Yesterday we celebrated Sho's (our shipper) "birthday" at a Texas style restaurant where the girls wore skimpy leathers complete with ass-less chaps. Little did they know, Sho's birthday is in August. Regardless of that fact, Sho said it was his "best birthday ever."
